Plaintiff Dismisses Case After Being Stung with Discovery Sanctions
Court: Superior Court of California, County of Placer
A computer programmer terminated for performance-related reasons sued his employer, a technology services company, for national origin discrimination, defamation, misrepresentation, interference with contract, and unpaid overtime. When the plaintiff refused to comply fully with CDF’s aggressive discovery, CDF obtained a court order compelling discovery and assessing substantial monetary sanctions against the plaintiff. Shortly thereafter, and with another discovery motion pending, the programmer agreed to dismiss his case on terms favorable to our client.
